Houses
When children start with us at Hyde they are allocated a house which they stay in throughout their time at Hyde. Our houses are named after the deer that are found in the New forest - in fact we often see them from our windows!

House points are given to the children for positive behaviour in the form of a token. The physical tokens are awarded to children and collected in their teams’ jar located in individual classrooms. The tokens are be collected from classes weekly by house team captains and counted. Totals are be announced in the Celebration assembly and the winning team is awarded a cup which is displayed in school. Collected tokens are also accumulated and displayed throughout the weeks. Each half term house captain will exchange their accumulated tokens for different rewards.
This is approach promotes teamwork, cooperation and a sense of collective responsibility
