Headteacher's Welcome
Welcome to Hyde CE Primary school - part of the Forest Edge Learning Federation. Hyde is the smallest school in our federation with approximately 50 children on roll. We have 3 classes which work together to make up our Hyde family: Willow class, for our youngest children in YR,1 and 2; Pine class for Y3 and 4; and Oak class for Year 5 and 6.
The school is positioned on top of a hill with the forest on our doorstep. We have frequent visits from the New Forest wildlife, including horses, deer and donkeys!
Hyde is a Church of England school and we love our walk to the church for our end of term services. We have a strong relationship with the Hyde church community.
We have a really small school site so we take full advantage of being in the New Forest. Our children love the outdoors and play out on the common at morning break and lunchtime whatever the weather!
If you are ever nearby, then please do listen out for our school bell, which we ring every morning so that the local community know that we are in school and are ready to start our learning!
We are always happy to welcome new families to our school community. If you would like to see us in action, please book a tour via the school office. We look forward to meeting you.
